Cheap Gerber Cereal, Oatmeal Sincle Grain, 16-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6)

Fairly early on after our boy switched from mother's milk to formula, my wife started adding rice cereal to the baby's formula. I'm not sure why. She was following someone's advice, but she can't remember where she got it. When we switched to using whole milk, at the advice of our pediatrician, she started adding oatmeal instead. We've been doing this ever since and the baby seems to like it. We have not directly fed cereal to the baby, rather we have only used it as an additive to a bottle of milk/formula (two to three teaspoons per bottle). We've used this Gerber's oatmeal because it is so conveniently available. We buy it in the 16-ounce package because of convenience also. I might add that we both use oatmeal in our own diets from time to time.

Using this oatmeal as an additive has worked well. It quickly becomes part of the milk/formula with only a few shakes of the bottle and we've had very few problems with it blocking the nipple or sippy-cup holes. The baby slurps it right down and his bottle/cup of milk always seems to be one of his favorite meals of the day. We're very satisfied with the product.
